We offer installations, maintenance and upgrades for a wide range of venues and systems. Whether you need a complete system, some replacement components or just some friendly advice about how to get the most out of your system; talk to us today to see how we can help.

Below are some case studies of previous works that we’ve carried out.

Case Study 1: Full church AV and PA upgrade

PA installation in church

This church had four old speakers mounted on high beams pointing down towards the audience. These speakers had been overloaded and blown resulting in a temporary solution of speakers on stands being used instead. The old projector was also getting dim with washed out colour.

We were asked to spec and install a new speaker system which was more suited to the building; replace the projector and install a comfort monitor on the rear balcony.

The new audio system consisted of two HK Audio speakers; wall mounted lower down than the previous speakers. This provided more even coverage across the whole church and the speakers were also able to reach the rear balcony. The projector was replaced with a brighter high definition model and a 75″ TV installed on the rear balcony.

Before we left we installed a Kramer powered wireless video distribution system, allowing the input to the projector and TV to be situated anywhere in the church. We also installed a DSP speaker management system and tuned it accordingly to help eliminate common feedback frequencies in the building as well as protecting against overloads.

Case Study 2: Full Analogue to Digital PA upgrade

This church’s PA system was struggling to accomodate expansions in the requirements of the church. So much so that an additional temporay PA was being set up every week to accomodate the music group, leaving the installed PA to deal with the speech microphones from the platform.

Neither the installed system or the temporary system were big enough to absorb the other so we were brought in for advice on a solution to move forwards.

With space being premium, the church wanted to try and keep any solution as small as possible; but also wanted to get away from having to set up lots of equipment every week. We therefore recommended upgraging to a digital rack mounted mixing ‘desk’. This could be then be controlled by an iPad for complex services involving the music group; or operated simply using the customisable front panel for servcies just requiring one or two platform microphones.

Finally a 16 input digital multicore system was deployed to the band area; this coupled with the 16 inputs locally on the device, leaves plenty of room for future expansion.

Before leaving, full training was given to the volenteers at the church and one of our engineers was on hand for the first service to make sure everything ran smoothly with the new system.

Case Study 3: TV and Video distrubution upgrade

This church was struggling with a washed out projector that had to be wheeled out and set up every week. The rear comfort monitor was also on an unreliable wireless connection.

After a site visit, we suggested a TV to replace the projector and a HDMI over cat6 video distribution system.

The TV we selected was a 75″ model with a 4K resolution for crystal clear and bright pictures, visible right to the back of the room. Also offering no maintenace of filters or replacement bulbs compared to a projector.

The HDMI over cat6 network cabling also enables longer distances of cable without degradation of signal quality compared to HDMI cable. The system also leaves room to expand in the future with two unused outputs.
